Lily & Jae is a women clothing line created by Jude Feller from Vancouver, who worked in the costume department for film and television for seven years, but had a dream of working in the fashion industry. In spring 2007, her line Lily & Jae debuted, and rapidly received international praise. Lily & Jae has since been featured in many magazines, and several celebrities have been seen wearing it (Lily Allen, Kristin Kreuk, Sarah Polley). I have to say, I am in love with the style of the brand; it is simple, it has that not-too-bold bohemian look, it is flirty, it is boyish, yet so feminine. Perfect.
Here are some of my favorite pieces of their new Spring/Summer 2010 Collection:
the page of the collection on their website, where you can find many more gorgeous items. Each collection has its own theme and it seems to me that this one is all about blue skies, fields, road trips, and freedom. There is also a cool section called "lifestyle" for their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection, a slideshow of beautiful pictures. This dreamy slideshow screams road trip to me! So in the same spirit, I wanted to include pictures from some of my favorite road trip movies (Thelma & Louise, Little Miss Sunshine, Darjeeling Limited).
Unfortunately Lily & Jae is not available in Montreal for the moment, but the Canadian brand has retail locations all over the country, and they have a really great online shop for Canada that ships in Quebec. Hopefully, Montrealers will be able to get this wonderful line of contemporary women's wear in the city in a near future! Lily & Jae would definitely be a great addition to favorite boutiques like Unicorn, Headquarters, Lola & Emily or Marché Mtl. To finish, here is a video documenting the outdoor photoshoot of Lily & Jae Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. Enjoy!
